Hole in the wall French eatery with good food and drinks! My fiancé and I came here for lunch on a Sunday. Not too crowded so we got a seat in the bar. Interior is dark with table and bar seating (outside tables available) like how the air conditioning wasn't overly strong like other restaurants. They had brunch menu when we came since it was the weeekend. For drinks my fiancé got the red cab and I got the seasonal rose pamplamousse. For food I got the croque madame ($18) and my fiancé got the French onion soup ($12) and steak salad ($21). The rose pamplamousse was one of the best spritz's I've had, I'm not a grapefruit fan but it wasn't overly acidic and sweet either, they also pour a generous amount. My croque madame was not overly salty or rich. Ham was fresh and cheese was melty. Came with a side salad as well. The French onion soup could have been sweeter but overall solid. The steak salad was rare but like how they didn't over dress it. Overall service is fast and food is delicious. Would love to try the apple pie my next visit!

We enjoyed another dinner at the Butcher's House. Their summer special appetiser with fermented green tomatoes, zesty ricotta and figs was the highlight: so fresh, sweet and savoury at the same time, with a bright citrus notes. Yum! We also tried their house made pâté, and had our favourite duck confit, half chicken entrees, and my husband couldn't resist a ribeye with a side of roasted potatoes and crunchy butter lettuce. Their server Adam was very attentive and knowledgeable about the seasonal menu changes. High quality food, great service and warm summer evening at the patio made our day.

I got to try a bit of everything from the ribeye to the rack of lamb. I have to say though the pork chop was outstanding. Tons of flavor, soft and juicy with a nice crispy outer crust. I wish there was a bit more in the green beans side. I probably would opt for a different side next time which was topped with arugula. The fries with raclette and bacon was a meal in itself.
